Scholarship & Bursary Recipients

BCSSA has 4 scholarship categories as follows:

  • Merit / Involvement Scholarship: Ian Allen Scholarship

  • Specific Role Scholarship: Coach Scholarship

  • Regional Bursary/Prize: One per region awarded annually

  • Co-directed Scholarship: Jason Parish Memorial Scholarship (awarded by the Simon Fraser Region of BCSSA), and Ross Hoshizaki Scholarship (awarded by the Okanagan Region of BCSSA, starting 2021). We do not hold all the records for these scholarships.

These scholarships have been in place for many years and, as such, have had adjustments made to the guidelines and requirements of each over the years. However, the overlying purpose and theme of each of the funds has not changed since inception: to recognize and reward BCSSA graduating members for their service, dedication, and commitment to their community, club, their region, and BCSSA as a whole.

Below is a listing of the individual who was awarded scholarships since 1997, when digital records first began to be recorded. Prior records will be added as staff resources are available to go through our organizationa's paper archives. Records are currently incomplete but these will be updated as we are able to.

If you notice an error or discrepancy on this webpage, please contact the BCSSA office and it will be updated as soon as possible.
